Die Publikation fasst vier hoch interessante – im Standpunkt und in der Thematik ganz unterschiedliche – Vorträge zusammen, die 1986, im Todesjahr von Joseph Beuys, in Erinnerung an den Künstler und sein Werk in den Hallen für Neue Kunst stattfanden.
Einleitung von Christel Raussmüller-Sauer, Texte von Hans U. Bodenmann: Soziale Plastik – eine private Sicht, Alois Martin Müller: Annäherung an Beuys in sechs Durchgängen, Mario Kramer: Zur Entstehungsgeschichte „Das Kapital Raum 1970-77“ von Joseph Beuys (mit Äusserungen von Joseph Beuys) und Johannes Stüttgen: Der Kapitalbegriff bei Joseph Beuys; dazu Tonbandaufzeichnung von A.M. Müller mit Erläuterungen von Joseph Beuys zum Werk (1983) sowie Beuys’ Aufruf zur Alternative (1978). Die Abbildungen illustrieren die Texte und zeigen Ansichten des Werks in den Hallen für Neue Kunst.

Müller with comments by Joseph Beuys on his work (1983) as well as Beuys’ Appeal for Alternative (1978). The illustrations and texts complement one another and show views of the work in the Halllen für Neue Kunst.
